Preparing Large Format Files

Resolution should be between 110 dpi and 150 dpi.

File size should be 100% of the finished size.

If your file size is smaller than 100% the resolution must increase accordingly.
(If the original file size is 10”x20” and the final print size is 30”x60”, your original file resolution should be between 330 dpi and 450 dpi so that when it is enlarge to the finished size the resolution will be between 110 dpi and 150 dpi.)

If you are working with vector images (Programs like Adobe Illustrator & Macromedia Freehand) resolution is not an issue unless you have placed photographs into your document. Then the above guidelines will apply.

Fonts should be converted to curves or outlines if possible and files should be flattened or rasterized.

If you cannot convert the fonts you must include them with your document.

Convert files to CMYK.

Files should be saved in their original file format (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark XPress).

Accepted file formats: The original file format (i.e. Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop etc…), EPS files, TIF files, & PDF files. JPG files are accepted, but they must be prepared properly and are subject to approval.

Unaccepted file formats: Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, and any GIF file.

All images that are placed into the finished document must also be supplied.
